The first event of the St. Brigid's 150 Project in 2012, the anniversary year, will be after 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday 11th of March.
On this date I will be in the St. Brigid's Church hall to scan any photographs you might like to bring along. I will do this on-the-spot, so no-one need part with treasured family photographs.
THERE WILL BE AN EXHIBITION OF THE ST. BRIGID's 150 PROJECT IN KILBIRNIE LIBRARY, STARTING ON 10TH APRIL 2012, RUNNING FOR A MONTH.
I will be in the library as often as I can to scan any photos you may wish to bring in.
In particular I am seeking group photos, preferably pre-1950. Any such photos, whilst they may contain one or two individuals belonging to the family who owns the particular photo, there will be other people in them whose families may never have set eyes on the photo. Undoubtedly we will all have photographs like this that would be worth sharing with others.
It might be useful, for example to record details of:
- who owns the photograph
- when and where it was taken
- the identity of those present in the photograph
